Break Open

There is such a rudimentary pleasure in feeling tied to the earth.

The simple act of eating greens plucked straight from the soil, the feel of the shovel as it breaks open the ground...watching plants sprout new beginnings.

On a day such as today, where the breath of winter is fresh upon the air, but the sun has not lost its humour and continues to smile warmly – on a Monday where we pause to commemorate the Anzacs (even though officially, that day was yesterday) – it seems too wasteful not to want to get dirt under my fingernails, sweat in my eyes and aches in my muscles...

I agree, it is so calming and peaceful to be around nature, including simple things like running your fingers along dirt or sand or crushing leaves. It can give you a lot of energy.

Hello Missy and thanks for the review on Poesia Torta, for befriending me, for favoriting me and for leaving such as sweet comment on my blog. =))) That's a lot more than I could wait, and I'll thank you forever.

I'm happy to have you around. Each and every person that comes to follow the blog has my love and attention, I never want them to be mere followers, I'm always wishing they become readers and we become friends - this is just who I am.

Thanks for taking interest in my writing.
Take care and keep smiling.
Kisses from Brazil. =*

We are most certainly blessed to be living in such circumstances that allow us to be able to get in touch with nature whenever the urge is upon us.

I think more startling is the fact we live in circumstances whereby the urge to get in touch with nature need be a struggle to deal with or to fulfil. How, but our concrete jungle completes us...
