Breakfast

Now I ate
And my belly expanded
And the roof of my car
Was a flame covered chariot
And the wroth of my sibling was
A rock in the face
And the peace of my brother
Was snorted in base

Now I spat
And the fear of my present
Was always my future
And although I tossed it
Against the pave
My fury was
Excuses in a perfect
Malaise.

Burb

Here is our neighbour
In a ‘burb that time forgot
Looking down upon his neighbour
Rot in one hand
And a fine wine in the other

While the little man next door
Fixed to be next of kin
Takes a stiff blade just to lance the fear.

Modern warfare, gin.
